Ron Nicolson, an Anglican priest, makes his own position clear in this book. He then
even-handedly and clearly presents all the issues which form the substance of the debate. The
relevant Scripture texts are examined from a variety of perspectives. The concept of marriage
itself is analysed and the positions of gay and lesbian persons are included in the spectrum
of views.
In a time when the rhetoric around homosexuality threatens to drown any calm conversation,
Nicolson's book is a welcome contribution to a more peaceful consideration of the many
facets of this issue.
